1. Orient the specimen. Is the view anterior or posterior? Which edge of the screen is superior? Inferior? Right lateral? Left lateral?
 
 
2. Identify the structures in the “What’s inside?” list.
 
 
3. Is the inferior vena cava to the right or left of the aorta?
 
 
4. How severe is the aortic atherosclerosis? Where is it the plaque mostly located?
