• Program dates of access: The program’s first date of access is defined as the date autopsy.online provides the program with its registration link (not the date the program makes payment).
• Program use guidelines in the first year of access: High Schools only – will obtain parent/guardian consent prior to showing autopsy.online content to students. An editable parent/guardian consent for may be found here. All programs – will develop and implement approved regulations and guidelines applicable to student site use. All programs will provide autopsy.online with a copy of these regulations and guidelines for approval. A copy of these regulations and guidelines must be provided to autopsy.online within the first 30 days of access (see above). Providing a copy of a student agreement or contract between the student and program fulfills this requirement. The student agreement or contract should require student signature. However, only a copy of the blank agreement or contract is required for submission to autopsy.online. Autopsy.online does not require programs to submit the agreement or contract after students sign them.
• Training in the first year of access: Autopsy.online offers 2 complimentary training sessions to programs (and more at the discretion of autopsy.online). Autopsy.online also offers programs the option of submitting course curriculum to autopsy.online for complementary collaborative curriculum planning. In this case, autopsy.online will review the curriculum and provide suggestions of cases and activities on the autopsy.online site that support part or all curriculum goals (at the discretion of autopsy.online).
• Program renewal after the first year of access – “active use requirement”: Subscription renewal for educational programs is at the discretion of autopsy.online. If a program does not participate in both training sessions and does not provide curriculum for collaborative planning (see above), this indicates the program wishes to function independently and feels comfortable self-training on site tech. In this case, the program must demonstrate “active use” during the school year. “Active use” is defined as at least 20 combined total hours of “active login” per semester for educators. For programs with student logins, “active use” additionally includes the requirement of at least 5 “active login” hours per student per semester, on average, in a minimum of 20 students. If the program does not have at least 20 students with logins, the program’s class size can function as the minimum. “Active login” is defined as a login which includes site engagement (vs. login simply for recording login hours). For these programs who wish to function independently, failure to complete the “active use requirement” across two semesters will result in automatic non-renewal. The purpose of this requirement is to avoid the scenario where schools do not train, do not collaborate, find themselves unable to unable to use the site and as a result do not renew. Exceptions to the requirement will be considered individually by written request. Programs who do not meet the active use requirement, will be notified at least 30 days prior to the renewal date. Programs who complete both training sessions and submit curriculum are exempt from the “active use requirement.”
